Butterbeer Experience

The ButterBeer Experience
Lena Gabrielle began performing as “The Butterbeer Experience” in August 2007, when she won the talent show at HPEF’s Prophecy with her original song, “Alone.” Since then Gabrielle has played over 100 shows and released three CD’s. She has broken new ground with her twenty-minute operetta, “Fair Fortune,” and her upcoming full-length musical, “The Final Battle.” Gabrielle has decided that Summer 2010 will be her last wizard rock tour so she can concentrate on her senior year of college and work on healing her voice after recent surgery for vocal nodules. However, she is extremely adamant that she will never stop writing music or leave the fandom. Gabrielle would like to thank her drummer/ best friend Beth Faulstick, bass- ist/ BAMF Janet Jiacinto, and merch girl/ facebook wife Mallory Vance for putting in the time to make her Infinitus concert as good as it can possibly be! Finally, she would like to thank every single person who has listened to her wizard rock for making these the best three years of her life.
Lena Gabrielle is a senior at Ithaca College and hopes to get her MM and PhD in music theory and eventually teach at the collegiate level.

The Moaning Myrtles
The Moaning Myrtles (Nina Jankowicz, Lauren Fairweather, and Justin Bulava) are a piano-based wizard rock band that writes music exclusively from Moaning Myrtle’s perspective. Myrtle was not a particularly easy choice because she does not appear too often in the books, but they decided that the whining bathroom ghost would be exactly what they needed. The Myrtles were one of the first wizard rock bands in existence and continue to be among the most active bands in the community.

Justin Finch Fletchley and the Sugar Quils
A veteran of the live performance music scene, in 2006 Justin Finch-Fletchley, singer/ songwriter/artist from Providence, RI, decided to focus his musi- cal writings on the phenomenal Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling.

Either solo or with his band, the Sugar Quills, JFF has self-released three full length albums, two live albums, and one greatest hits EP. Finch-Fletchley’s music is written from the perspective of a classmate who witnessed most of the events Harry, Ron, and Hermione experienced.

For the past few years JFF has been touring the US and Canada performing in libraries, book- stores, clubs, and many other places helping to promote literacy, arts, activism, and equality throughout. Finch-Fletchley combines wit and insight along with an unbridled amount of passion and energy to bring eager wizard rock fans their dose of catchy sing-along acoustic rock music.

The Whomping Willows
Remus Lupin loves to primarily do two things;fight evil and read books. Lupin is very good at both of them. Picture this: a library, a time turner, a deserted number 12 Grimmauld Place, a pensieve full of the order’s memories and a young Remus Lupin searching for answers- the only answer- ROCK.

The Remus Lupins (Alex Carpenter, Toby Karlin, and Tyler Nicholas) perform songs from the Pensieve- the songs from Remus’ mind, from every perspective, borne from the stored memories, and infused with werewolf energy. This is Wizard Rock for those who can handle it. Altogether now: “I solemnly swear I am up to no Good.”
